When you register, we collect your first and last name, username, and email address. When you create listings, we store the listing details and any photos you upload. We also store messages and offers exchanged between members on our platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the PeerMarket platform — to authenticate your account, display your listings, facilitate messaging between members, and administer seller approvals. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. What Other Members Can See

Your username is visible to all members. Your listings and any public messages related to them are visible to logged-in members. Your full name and email address are never displayed publicly — they are visible only to PeerMarket administrators.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Listing images are stored in Supabase Storage. Passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text. We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access.

5. Cookies and Sessions

PeerMarket uses cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings, which will log you out of the platform.

6. Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us through our contact form. We will process your request within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Services

We use Resend to send transactional emails such as seller review notifications and contact form responses. We use Vercel to host the platform. These services have their own privacy policies which govern their use of any data passed through them.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify members of significant changes via email. Continued use of PeerMarket after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
