Who can be a buyer?
Anyone can create a free account and start browsing and messaging sellers immediately. No approval needed to buy.
How do I become a seller?
Apply through your Dashboard. Applications are open Thursday through Sunday. Existing sellers review applicants Monday through Wednesday and can raise concerns. On Thursday, applicants with no concerns are automatically approved. You will receive an email notification of the outcome.
How do offers work?
When you make an offer, the seller can Accept, Decline, or Counter. If the seller counters, the message will show the original offer and the counter amount clearly. You can then Accept, Decline, or Counter back. This can go back and forth as many times as needed. The current active amount is always shown in the offer card.
What currencies are supported?
Price and offer fields accept any text — you can enter $100, €200, £50, or any amount in any currency. Buyer and seller should agree on currency when communicating.
How are payments handled?
PeerMarket does not process payments. Once a buyer and seller agree on a sale, they arrange payment privately outside of this platform. We strongly recommend using a traceable payment method.
Is my personal information visible to other members?
Only your username is visible publicly. Your full name and email are never shown to other members — they are visible only to PeerMarket administrators.
Is there a fee to sell on PeerMarket?
Approved sellers are asked to contribute $20/year to help cover hosting, storage and email costs. This is a community site with no commercial backing. There are no listing fees, no transaction fees, and no commissions — the annual contribution is the only cost. A 14-day grace period is given after approval before payment is required.
Occasionally, unused funds are returned to the community through a gift lottery. Every approved seller with an active account gets one entry. The card prize depends on the available unused funds and will be announced before the draw. A winner is drawn at random and receives the card as a gift from the admin. Participation is automatic — no sign-up needed.
Will I get email notifications for messages and offers?
No — messaging and offers are internal to PeerMarket only. You will not receive email notifications when someone messages you or makes an offer. Log in regularly to check your Messages for any activity.
